Hello Goodbye Rare Steiff Boxed Teddy Bear Set
|
This wonderful set of Teddy bears was made in 1999 as an exclusive for the Millenium. It is one the most amazing sets I have ever seen Steiff produce. The two bears come in a wonderful deep royal purple wooden book that says Hello-Goodbye on the outside of the book. Inside the bears are each 9". The unusual tipped graduated colors of these bears is something I have never seen before or since these were produced in 1999. They represent the colors of sunrise and sunset. The blue bear which represents sunrise starts with light blue on the head which gets darker in the middle of the bear and then a deep almost navy blue at the bottom of his feet. The orange bear that represents sunset starts with a pale orange on the head and then goes to a darker orange peach in the center and ends with a pinkish tone on the feet. The photos show do not show the fabulous colors but really this set is gorgeous. This was made made in 1999 to represent the ending sunset of 1999 the 20th century and the beginning( the sunrise) of what was suppose to be a great 21st century 2000??
